What better way of starting off 2020 than bringing you all into my wedding dress experience?
What was I looking for?
When I dreamed of a dress that was unique and romantic. I fell in love with flower appliques and off white colors. I pined after off the shoulder sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. I knew I did not want a fitted bottom, because who wants to worry about bloating at your wedding.
Where did I go?
When I decided it was time to start the dress search, I already had salons in mind. Taking brides I’ve worked with’s advice, I knew what to look for and to avoid in my area. I researched wedding dress salons, designers, and selections. I found no place compared to Marie Gabriel Couture. The selection of designs, ambiance, and overall process SCREAMED me.
Choosing your shopping party:
I knew I wanted things to be simple. Without my mom in the picture, I knew I really wanted a small group that I wouldn’t be upset about crying in front of. I chose my sister and maid of honor, my bridesmaid and best friend, and my soon to be mother-in-law. I new my small group would make me feel special and give me constructive criticism.
The Appointment:
We arrived at my scheduled appointment promptly at 10am, riding a private elevator straight into the showing room. Before meeting our associate, I filled out basic information about our wedding and venue. From there, we were seated at one of their try-on locations in the store. This included a big comfy couch and chairs. My stylist and I came up with an idea to look for, and she sped away to find dresses for me! The stylist made my appointment the best I could have asked for and had a real conversation with me about life and my aspirations for my wedding day.

Saying Yes to The Dress!
I tried on two dresses before I found the dress I said yes to. I found everything I wanted in the number one Italian designer Eddy K! My dress is a gorgeous sweetheart neckline, princess train, appliques, and some other surprises! When I said yes to the dress, the entire store clapped for me and I felt right at home with Marie Gabriel! The price fit right in my budget of $1,000-2,500 USD. Not only did I get my dress for well under that price, but I also procured a second veil and dress bustier!
