FALL MAKEUP TRENDS FOR 2017

Let’s start with makeup, our first love. I’ve compiled some notes from several popular trend sites, and I think we really have something. However, I will be providing my personal favorite choices for the season, to spice things up.

According to Jena Rosenstein at Harper’s Bazaar, fall 2017 is MADE WITH METAL. Metallic eye looks are big for the season. If you love makeup, you already know that copper tones are perfect for Fall. Several runways have been flooded with the bold metallics (ex. Balmain). Fun eyeliner trends include “coloring outside the lines”. This involves liner that isn’t in the normal place along the lashes. This trend has been taken on by designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, and Versace. Shades of berry lips have also found their way back into runways. Berry is simply a Fall and Winter shade. These same thoughts are present through other major magazine platforms like ELLE.

Now that we’ve discussed runway, let’s talk about typical beauty trends for the cooler months.

My personal favorite tones for fall are burgundy, bright red, rust, canary yellow, and mustard. You can find examples of these tones in the Colourpop “Yes Please” palette! Also, Morphe Cosmetics has several of these tones in their 35O, 35O2, The Jaclyn Hill Palette, and other smaller palettes.
